1. Radio/Wireless activity control
You can control the on-BOARD Wireless devices using the wireless switch (OR) the Fn+F2 (OR) Fn2 hotkey depending on your system support. You can use MobilityCenter to configure the radios that the switch/hotkey would control.
2. Backlit KEYBOARD:
- The control to the backlit KEYBOARD is in the mobility Center.
- This feature is only available when installing QuickSet on a system with backlit keyboard.
3. Extended Battery Life / Battery charge disable:
- These features can be accessed and configured within the Battery Meter (launched by Fn+F3).
4. Fn key behavior change:
- The behavior of Fn key can be chosen by the users to work as the normal function keys or work as multimedia keys. This can be done by choosing the preferred mode by opening the mobility Center.
5. Display Switch
- When running in vista, QuickSet will show the on-screen Display when Fn1 or Fn+F1 or the display switch key is pressed.

Both packages are capable of creating bootable USB flash drives, or CDs as well as a hard drive Image file capable of being used for PXE booting or as a virtual media Image with additional hardware and/or software. These packages are also capable of being used to update an existing diagnostic (utility) partition on a system supported by the package. Use CW1357A0.exe to create bootable media in Windows or CL1357A0.bin to create bootable media in a Unix/Linux environment.

NOTE: In order to create diagnostic media using this package, this file must be downloaded to and executed on a system running Linux. This package can be used to create a bootable diskette set, USB flash drive, CD, or hard drive image.

4. Click on the OK button to extract files. After the files are extracted, a message should appear indicating that all files were successfully unzipped.
5. Click the OK button to start the Dell Diagnostic Delivery Package. Follow the on screen prompts to create the media desired.
Running the Diagnostics

Removing Incorrectly Installed Driver First in Windows 9x or ME
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. From the Control Panel, double-click System.
3. Click Device Manager.
4. Under Other Devices, click to highlight Unknown Device.
5. Click the Remove button at the bottom of the window. The device and category both disappear.
6. Click Refresh. The Hardware Wizard appears.
7. Click Next.
8. Click Specify the location of the driver and then click Next.
9. Click Search for the best driver and if there is not a check mark is in the checkbox next to Specify a location, click to put one there.
10. Click once in the textbox beneath Specify a location, type C:DELLDRIVERSR229866 and then click Next.
Windows finds the correct driver and asks you to verify it.
11. Click Next to install it.
