Download the DownloadManager_1004a.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference). The computer must be connected to the Internet in order to use the Download Manager tool. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the DownloadManager_1004a.exe file to run Download Manager. Download Manager determines what version of the Picture Motion Browser installer you need, and then downloads the appropriate Picture Motion Browser version 5.2 update.
IMPORTANT: Download Manager transfers information about the version of Picture Motion Browser installed on the computer, and what Operating System is being used, to the server administered by SONY. Sony uses this information solely for the purpose of management and diagnosis for providing the Picture Motion Browser update program. Download Manager does not transfer any information that may identify an individual. When the following screen appears, click Complete.
At the File Download screen, click Save to download the update file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
Note: The version of the update file is different depending on the version of Picture Motion Browser already installed on the computer: - If Picture Motion Browser version 4.x or older, or Cyber-shot Viewer is installed, the download file is PMB52_Upgrade1004a.exe (182 MB - 191,691,552 bytes.
- If Picture Motion Browser version 5.0 or later is installed, the download file is PMB52_Upgrade1004b.exe (20.5 MB - 21,569,312 bytes).
Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the update file (PMB52_Upgrade1004a.exe or PMB52_Upgrade1004b.exe) to begin the installation. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
